For the first time, Directors of UK companies may now keep their home address confidential and are allowed to file a Service Address for the public record.
This is an important feature for all company directors enabling them to avoid the need to show their home address on the Companies House register. They will still be required to lodge their usual residential address with the Registrar but this information will be kept off the public record and made available only to approved public authorities.
The service address may be situated anywhere as long as it is a real serviceable address. A PO Box address may not be used.
